Description of Mostar Canyon

Hidden beneath the slopes of Prenj Mountain, this narrow canyon reveals one of the most spectacular hidden landscapes near Mostar. Towering limestone walls rise high above while the canyon becomes so narrow in places that it feels like walking through a natural stone corridor.

The adventure begins with a scenic drive from Mostar followed by a short off-road jeep ride that takes us deep into the wild Herzegovina landscape and close to the canyon entrance.

After a short hike we enter the narrow canyon where we walk through shallow clear water, move between smooth rock walls and pass through dramatic passages carved by nature over thousands of years.

At the very end a hidden waterfall appears deep between the rocks before we return through the same incredible canyon scenery.

Why This Canyon Is Special

This canyon is unlike most canyoning routes near Mostar. Instead of jumps and big water sections, the adventure leads through an incredibly narrow limestone corridor carved deep into the mountain.

Towering rock walls rise high above while the canyon becomes so tight in places that it feels like walking through a hidden stone passage. Light filters down from far above, creating a dramatic and almost mysterious atmosphere.

At the very end of the canyon a hidden waterfall appears between the cliffs, a quiet and powerful place that feels completely untouched.

To enjoy the Mostar canyon experience comfortably, we recommend bringing suitable sport clothing and a few essential items for outdoor activities.

• light jacket for the cave
• one small towel

• at least 1 liter of water per person
